Peter Mark Salon celebrates opening

DELRAY BEACH — There’s a bit more glamour on Atlantic Avenue these days, courtesy of Peter and Mark Hasche-DeRosa.

The two men, partners both in business and in life, have opened Peter Mark Salon on NE 4th Avenue, just off the downtown’s life line, after nine years in Pompano Beach. Peter Mark opened its doors in May and commemorated the event with a ribbon cutting in late September.

“We love the sense of community and we love the atmosphere of Atlantic Avenue,” Peter Hasche-DeRosa said, explaining the move.

While there are many great stylists in the region, few have caught the spotlight as the Hasche-DeRosas. They’ve done work for television shows, commercials and celebrities. They even have a recurring spot on The Balancing Act, a show that airs at 7 a.m. daily on Lifetime, the cable television network that caters to women. During the show, the two provide quick tips and makeove advice.

Peter  Hasche-DeRosa, who grew up in Pompano, started the business 9 years ago. Six years ago, he teamed up with Mark, who grew up in Lantana. The shop has a staff of 15.

“We really pride ourselves on giving great customer service,” Peter Hasche-DeRosa said. “We only specialize in hair. We don’t do nails or anything else.”
