DELRAY BEACH  — They heard more than 75 speakers. Learned team building and Delray’s history. Got an inside look at both city and county government.

After eight months of tours, seminars and lunches, these 19 men and women are the Leadership Delray Beach Class of 2009.

Graduates of the program, in alphabetical order, are:

Dot Bast, city of Delray Beach; Kimberly Comejo, City National Bank; Michael Coleman, Delray police; Savrina Conte, Office Depot Foundation; Jessica Forte, Festival Management Group; Lori Garland, BB&T Bank; Gina Graves, Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County; Katie Hartmann, Delray police. Joe Hepp, Dockerty Romer & Co.

Stephanie Immelman, Downtown Marketing Association; Jesse Libby, Waste Management; Christopher Noe, Old School Square; attorney Mary Rose O’Connell; Patty Reed, Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce; Perry Rohan, Rohan Realty Associates; Richard Rubino, Gordon & Doner; Cecelia Shade, Delray Beach fire/rescue; Rona Tata, S.D. Spady Elementary School; Vince Wooten, Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.

The Leadership Delray program is run by the Delray Beach chamber with the cooperation of the city and the assistance of numerous local businesses and organizations.

It begins each year in October, and culminates with graduation in June. Applications for the 2009-10 programs are available through the chamber. For more information about the program, call Beth Johnston at 279-1380 extention 12.
