Delray Men's Group to raise funds for Boys and Girls Club

DELRAY BEACH — The Men’s Group of the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its 4th Annual “All-American Tailgate Party”, with all proceeds benefiting The Boys and Girls Club of Delray Beach. This event will take place on October 21, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ellie’s 50’s Diner 2410 N. Federal Highway in Delray Beach.

The Delray Chamber Men’s Group is a charity-focused organization within the chamber. Each year, the Delray Chamber Men’s Group organizes events and activities to raise money for charitable causes that support South Florida’s children.

At last year’s event, the group raised $20,000 for The Boys and Girls Club; this year, the group is raising its goal by 50 percent.

“In these tough economic times the Boys and Girls Club needs us more than ever before,” said Dan Castrillon, who heads the group. “We have a goal of $30,000 and are actively seeking event sponsors, auction items and door prizes from local merchants to support programs for these deserving children.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach is part of a national network of some 3,700 neighborhood based facilities annually serving more than four million young people, primarily from disadvantaged circumstances. Programs emphasize character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports, fitness and recreation.

Event tickets can be bought on-line at the Chamber Men's Group's site. To donate auction items or for sponsorship information, please contact Castrillon by phone 561.398.8162, or by email.
