Delray seeking voluteers for neighborhood board

DELRAY BEACH —The city is seeking volunteers to serve on the Neighborhood Advisory Council.

The Neighborhood Advisory Council assists the city commission by helping maintain broad-based community involvement with the residents, create neighborhood outreach initiatives, enhance communication, improve the aesthetics of the neighborhoods and identify any potential threats to the stability of the neighborhoods. 

The council is comprised of 15 regular members, 3 at-large representatives and 2 student members. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room at City Hall.  Additional information may be obtained from Jennifer Costello at 243-7228.

There is a vacancy for Zone 2 (Atlantic Avenue south to Linton Boulevard and I-95 west to the E-3 Canal).  City residents who have a desire to become more involved their community's future are encouraged to become an Neighborhood Advisory Council member.
