West Boca chamber foundation awards scholarships

BOCA RATON — The West Boca Chamber of Commerce Foundation has awarded three $500 scholarships to graduating seniors of West Boca, Olympic Heights and Spanish River high schools.

Foundation Chair Shelby Linton of HSBC Bank, presented the checks at a recent West Boca Chamber of Commerce breakfast, assisted by foundation vice chair Tom Kruse of Sir Speedy in Margate. 

"We are pleased to recognize the accomplishments of these students and wish them well as they embark on their collegiate careers", Linton said. 

The scholarships were made possible from the proceeds of the first annual West Boca Chamber of Commerce golf tournament to benefit the Foundation. 

Receiving the awards were: Brittany Scurrah, Olympic Heights High School; Jessica Hickman, West Boca High School; and Michael Cordoba, Spanish River High School.
