Veterans, employers match up at Workforce Alliance-VA job fair

The event marked the debut of the Workforce Alliance's mobile unit, designed to provide job seekers with all the services available at traditional job centers. Other employers taking part in the job fair included BankAtlantic, Comcast, Applied Card Services, Key Staff, Verizon Wireless, The Pegasus Group and the Wackenhut Corp. "Definitely we'll be back in 2007," said Comcast's Christine Cunningham.
More than 200 veterans met with representatives of 24 ployers and schools lNov. 9 at a job fair co-sponsored by the Workforce Alliance of Palm Beach County and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The event, the first of its kind, was held at the Veterans Hospital in West Palm Beach.
