Gas continues at record high in Palm Beach County

DELRAY BEACH — Fill up that Hummer! Fuel prices actually dropped over the past week. But you won’t find much relief in Palm Beach County, where prices continue to set records.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that a gallon of regular now averages $4.113, compared with $4.114 a week ago and $4.082 a month ago.
All grades of gasoline combined averaged $4.163 a gallon, compared with $4.165 a week ago and $4.134 a month ago.
In Florida regular averaged $4.051 a gallon, compared with $4.057 a week ago and $4.019 a month ago, according to EIA. For all grades, gasoline averaged $4.116 compared to $4.122 a week ago and $4.085 a month ago.
In Palm Beach County, gasoline remains at an all-time high at $4.174 a gallon, compared with $4.144 a month ago. The price continues to be the highest average in the state.
EIA put diesel at $4.764 a gallon nationally, compared with $4.727 a week ago and $4.692 a month ago.
AAA said diesel in Palm Beach County averaged $4.898 a gallon, compared with $4.858 a month ago.
